A British cargo plane carrying more than 30 tonnes of emergency supplies is on its way to Liberia.
The flight, from London Manston airport in Kent, is the third UK shipment to the war-torn African country in the past week.
The Red Cross aid package is due to arrive in the Liberian capital, Monrovia, at 1100 BST on Monday.
Its departure from the UK came as there was a breakthough in the peace talks.
The country's main rebel group has dropped a demand for the vice-presidency in a new government.
And aid agencies have been promised full access to help the tens of thousands of people displaced by fighting and in desperate need.
£2m appeal
The latest British aid package includes 10,020 blankets, 1,500 sheets of tarpaulin and 2,520 kitchen sets.
The 33-tonne cargo was held in storage at the Red Cross depot in Bristol.
Two other planes, funded by Oxfam and Save the Children, have already landed in the capital with food, water, sanitation kits and blankets.
The supplies were funded by the Disasters Emergency Committee, which launched its Liberian Crisis Appeal on Tuesday and has so far raised £2m.
Other items heading to Liberia from Bristol include office equipment and generators to replace those looted from the Red Cross's own offices in the country.
Mike Goodhand, of the British Red Cross, said: "Up until the peacekeepers came in the city was pretty much surrounded.
"Nothing could come in or out, supplies were running low and the shops and markets were closed – even the water supplies were difficult.
"We are hoping to see some improvement but at the moment things are still pretty desperate."
